What The Role Is

As a Senior Assistant Director/ Deputy Director, Contracts in the Infrastructure and Facility Services Division, you will lead a dynamic team that provides contract and procurement support in the development of school campuses.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Conduct procurement of consultancy and construction services, develop guidelines and provide advice to the department in this area
  • Review the costs for school development projects to ensure proposed budgets and expenditure for construction are value for money
  • Develop effective and efficient processes to ensure all contracts are properly administered by the department, including overseeing a team of contract managers to assess variation costs, verify work done on-site, assess progress claims and finalise accounts
  • Engage schools, project teams, industry partners and other stakeholders to facilitate good communication and understanding of contract and procurement policies and procedures


What We Are Looking For

  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying or related disciplines with at least 3 years of working experiences in a leadership position
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of procurement and quantity surveying in the building and construction industry
  • A dynamic and innovative individual, with strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
