Job Description

The Product and Customer Analytics Specialist for SG Consumer Banking will play a critical role in leveraging data analytics and insights to drive strategic decision-making, optimize business performance, and enhance customer experience within the organization. The person will report to the Product and Customer Analytics Head.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Analytics:
    • Perform advance analytics on product and customer data to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform business decisions.
    • Build and maintain dashboards, reports and metrics that track customer behavior and product performance.
    • Conduct A/B testing, customer segmentation, and cohort analysis to optimize product features and customer journeys.
    • Utilize statistical and predictive modelling to forecast product demand, customer behavior and identify opportunities for cross-sell/up-sell, optimize revenue and operations.
    • Be able to articulate the data journey from end-to-end, from data ingestion coming from various systems to data-driven strategy implementations and portfolio monitoring.
    • Be able to perform end-to-end Analytics, from Descriptive and Inferential, to Prescriptive and Advanced Analytics, applying ML solutions as required, and formulation of business strategies, including business impact analysis and overseeing of strategy implementation.
    • Be able to perform process optimization and automation, datamart architecture design and setup
  • Campaigns:
    • Lead the Campaign and Leads Management team for campaign tasks planning, data execution, performance tracking and leads base management for SG Consumer Banking. Meet the needs of business teams in turn-around-time, data quality and advanced analytics during implementing marketing campaign strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business stakeholders, including product managers, marketing teams, and segment managers, to understand their analytical needs, provide support, and guide decision-making processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Interpret data and present findings to stakeholders, making recommendations to enhance business outcome, customer experience and product impact.
  • Innovation and Best Practices:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the banking and wealth management sectors to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics or related field; Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product or customer analytics
  • Proven expertise in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Consumer Banking products including Deposits, Wealth Management, Loan, Card and Customer Segmentation concepts and practices
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, A/B testing, customer segmentation, and lifecycle analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry compliance standards in the banking sector is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

Relevant Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics and decision science domain.
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of the banking industry, especially in Consumer Business area, covering Deposits, Wealth Management, Card, Loan and Customer Segments.

Competencies/Skills

  • Proficient in SAS, SQL, Python, R Programming and MS Excel
  • Proficient in Business Intelligence tools (Tableau)
  • Must be able to solve problem quickly and efficiently
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
