- Closing of Balance Journal (Import) & shipment (Export) for general cargo / container in a timely manner to generate port service charge and wharfage revenue
- Prepare bulk cargo advice to be vetted by D&C Supervisor prior port charges are being generated
- Validate documents (E.g. Bill of Lading, manifest, Cargo packing List, draft survey) submitted by shipping agents / port users for billing purpose are aligned against on-line entries in JP-Online after vessels departure.
- Liaison with shipping agents on any discrepancy on cargo documentation submitted by port users.
- Resolve irregularities on the cargo declaration submitted by port users, including to update cargo declaration, e.g. short-landed & shut out cargo before closing of vessel file.
- Conduct weekly documentation check on long-lying cargo / containers in the Port, and put up recommendation to raise periodic store rent for long lying cargo.
- Liaise with agents/ stevedores / shippers / consignees / transporters on the status of long-lying cargo & containers
- Follow up with raising manual / supplementary invoices to recover the shortfall or wrongful declaration by declarants
- Perform Counter Duties, if any, when directed by supervisor
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent education
- Min 3 years of experience in shipping industry, with knowledge of Port documentation.
- Proficient in IT application such as Microsoft Excel, Word.
