- Drive and embed a positive risk culture front to back including driving and delivering (with Client Journey Leads) relevant trainings for PvB SGHK
- Supervise the business to ensure an adequate control environment, addressing key risks of the Private Bank business (i.e., CDD, Sales Suitability, Conduct, Cross Border, etc)
- Manage the PvBSGHK Business Supervision team and ensure adequate control environment, addressing key risks of the Private Bank business (i.e., CDD, Sales Suitability, Conduct, Cross Border, etc) through deep dives, reviews, and analytics.
- In coordination with Legal & Compliance, keeping abreast of legal and regulatory changes. Continuously review and raise the standards on internal controls in line with regulatory expectations & best in class PvB practices.
- Work with Group Policy owners in shaping internal policies with respect to PvB Controls

- Work through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
- Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives
- Execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating operational and reputational risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
- Oversee governance of PvB SGHK
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles
- 8 plus years of experience in the banking industry.
- Sound HKMA/SFC/MAS regulatory knowledge and understanding of the private banking business.
- Solid experience in Change Management; ability to adapt and act quickly to drive change by advocating innovative solutions
- Product knowledge is preferred
- Self-motivated team player, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate and resolve complex operational issues
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word is a must.
