Job Description
The Head of Technology is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, development, and operations across all business units within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of technology trends, a strategic mindset, and strong leadership skills to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance of technology infrastructure to support business operations and growth.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's technology systems and data through the implementation of best practices and security measures.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business units, and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs and priorities.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of technology initiatives and investments.
- Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in technology roles, with minimum 5 years in management positions.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Able to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written form. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience driving organizational change and transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics and emerging technologies.
