APAC Business Unit Head, Nutrition (Food Ingredients Manufacturer)

Description

We are partnering our client in the Food Ingredients industry to hire for a newly created Singapore-based Business Unit Head position, to grow and develop their APAC Dairy Ingredients business across the various market segments of specialized nutrition (early life and adult nutrition).

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Global Business Head of Nutrition and involves close collaboration with the Plant, Shipping, and Sales teams. The role entails conceptualizing and developing a new range of products, such as fat powders, cheese powders, and dairy blends, using spray drying technology tailored for the Asian market. You will build a comprehensive sales structure to market these products, set sales targets for volume and margin, and assign strategic account objectives while focusing on business development. Working with a cross-functional team, you will drive portfolio growth in collaboration with R&D and marketing. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and growing this business from scratch, meeting specific objectives over the next few years.

Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 10-15 years of direct sales or account management experience in dairy ingredients across Asian markets. We are looking for strategic leaders with hands-on experience in selling ingredients, including base powders, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics, particularly with the track record and network to develop businesses with infant formula manufacturers. The ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and develop relationships with strategic customers is essential, along with a proven track record of business growth and margin improvement. Strong quantitative skills and commercial acumen are required, as is the capacity to scale new business while consistently achieving volume and profit targets.
