Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts / Science in Psychology, Education, Cognitive Science, Linguistics, or related fields
- Experience with preschool teaching
- Excellent interpersonal skills working with different stakeholders and an interest in relationship building with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to consult and interact with teachers/staff to improve teaching practices
- Strong classroom observational skills and keen attention to detail
- Enthusiasm about research in early education research
- Strong, self-directed initiative and ability to take on challenges
- Experience with coaching is strongly preferred, but not required
- Observing classroom teaching
- Guiding teachers in optimizing teaching and learning opportunities
- Monitoring and recording classroom teaching progress
- Collaborating with the rest of the team to provide support for preschool teachers
- Providing feedback within the research setting for teachers
- Building relationships with preschool teachers and staff
- Data collection, entry, coding, and analysis
- Assist with coding of classroom talk
- Conducting literature reviews
- Public outreach of educational research
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
