My client is a leading global hedge fund specializing in advanced blockchain technology solutions. As part of their strategic expansion plan, they are seeking a Head of HR to spearhead their HR initiatives and drive organizational effectiveness.
Role Overview:
This pivotal role will oversee the entire HR function, and acting as a trusted advisor to the C-suite. The ideal candidate will be a strategic HR leader who can align HR initiatives with business objectives while also being hands-on enough to manage operational needs. Candidates with experience in the hedge fund or financial services sector are strongly preferred.
Job Description:
Core Functions:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement global HR strategies that align with the firm’s business goals, particularly in the fast-paced hedge fund environment.
- Executive Partnership: Establish a strong HR presence within the firm, acting as a strategic partner to the executive team and other departments.
- Talent Acquisition: Design and execute a Talent Acquisition strategy tailored to attract top-tier talent, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience that enhances employer branding.
- Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives that foster a positive organizational culture, enhancing employee satisfaction and retention in a competitive landscape.
- Compensation and Benefits: Review and optimize the compensation model to ensure market competitiveness, particularly in the hedge fund sector.
- Talent Management: Oversee talent management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and career development, with a focus on high-potential employees (HIPOs).
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all operational regions while providing strategic guidance on organizational design, succession planning, and change management.
Senior Leadership Duties:
- Team Leadership: Lead the HR team by providing mentorship and support to align with the company's strategic goals.
- Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional partnerships to achieve HR and organizational objectives.
- Project Participation: Engage in additional HR projects as necessary to support the firm's evolving needs.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Educational Background: University degree in HR Management or a related discipline.
- Industry Experience: Experience in hedge funds or financial services is highly desired; candidates from tech companies with relevant experience will also be considered. APAC experience is essential, with EMEA or US exposure being advantageous.
- Professional Experience: Approximately 15 years of HR experience, with a proven track record in team leadership and strategic HR initiatives.
- Ideal Candidate Profile: Fast-paced, open-minded, and seasoned professionals who can thrive in a dynamic environment are preferred.
