Position Purpose

As the APAC Datacenter Manager, you will oversee all aspects of data center operations, with a focus on ensuring maximum uptime, efficiency and security.

In this role, you will be responsible for the entire data center lifecycle, technical support as well as datacenter operations, which covers

the scope of capacity planning, racks delivery, installation, decommission and incident management.

You will also supervise and steer the various needed Datacenter moves within the APAC area and actively contribute in RFP process for new sites selection.

You will also implement and oversee data center policies, controls and procedures

to ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security regulations as well as the Group standards.

The successful candidate must have at least 7 years of experience in data center operation management with a strong understanding

of datacenter infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling system. A good knowledge in network connectivity and server hardware is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day service operations, Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Management.
  • Help in review and revise of all policies and procedures being used in APAC Datacenter Management.
  • Audit and Controls: Perform various controls related to Datacenter regularly and support/contribute all audits related APAC Datacenter.
  • Contribute for all monthly dashboard reporting.
  • Capacity Planning: Regularly monitor Datacenter capacity information. Design and implement short term and long-term strategic plans to ensure Datacenter capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Procurement: Contribute to RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for Datacenter Projects and associated efforts.
  • Be a strong advocate Datacenter policy, procedure and standards to make sure that Datacenters in APAC are designed to meet local regulatory requirements and BNP global audit and security standards.
  • As a Subject Matter Expert on Datacenter, provide advice to APAC regional country Datacenter Manager and collaborate with Global Datacenter Manager to understand latest global standards and directions to implement it in APAC.
  • As and when required assist in procuring new Datacenters, design and build new Datacenters according to BNP standards. Gather internal team requirements and translate into actual space and power requirement for Datacenters.
  • Project Management: As and when required need to get involved in Datacenter Migration projects in full capacity or as a contributor to the project.
