About the Client:

Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability in Asia’s energy markets. They are now seeking a high-caliber Investment Director to lead their investment strategy for China market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Evaluation & Execution: Spearhead the identification, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities in China’s energy sector, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Due Diligence Coordination: Oversee due diligence processes with external advisors on financial, tax, legal, and technical aspects.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Develop and review financial models for valuation, debt sizing, and scenario analyses, ensuring data-driven investment decisions.
  • Investment Recommendations: Present and recommend investment opportunities to senior management and deliver presentations to the board.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics; an MBA or CFA is preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in investment management or corporate finance within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors, with a strong China market knowledge.
  • Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement; proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred.
