Job duties / responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process for Singapore office
  • Monitor and manage the overall market and credit risk exposures of the Singapore office
  • Monitor and implement liquidity, operational risk related parameters
  • Interact and liaise with all local stakeholders including Business Lines, Finance, Operations and Legal & Compliance departments
  • Work with Hong Kong HQ risk team on aligning group risk strategy and methodology
  • Being the primary contact of BU for all the risk management related issues for Singapore office
  • Conduct annual risk reviews and exercises for the local office
  • Risk reporting for major business lines on periodic basis and risk reporting for the local office to Hong Kong HQ
  • Responsible for ad-hoc projects/assignments
  • Conduct periodic stress test
  • Review risk related terms for documentations/agreements
  • Maintain and improve local risk monitoring reports
  • Analyze & evaluate trade/client data to identify various key risk areas
  • Develop and update policies and procedures by enforcing document standards
  • Act as the primary contact point for risk related enquiries from local regulators and auditors
  • Engage in cross-departmental collaborations and assistance where time permits especially with Compliance

Requirement

  • Minimum 5 years of risk management related experience in investment banks or securities firms
  • Minimum Bachelor degree graduate from Finance, Risk Management, Accounting or other quantitative disciplines
  • Professional qualification such as FRM / CFA is a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Excel VBA and macro
  • Versatile, proactive and able to work both independently with minimal supervision and also collaboratively with other departments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (to communicate with chinese stakeholders)
