The Deputy Director, Undergraduate Programmes Office at NBS, NTU is a key position responsible for providing leadership, strategic oversight, and operational guidance for all academic and student administrative services to all undergraduate. This role reports to the Associate Deans of Undergraduate Programmes He/She will need to ensure strategic and operational synergies and efficiencies across different functions; and will be the interface with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally to drive and implement strategic initiatives.

- Support Associate Deans and Assistant Deans in strategic planning, drive curricular innovations and spearhead new initiatives
- Review policies, conceptualise frameworks and formulate strategies to support academic and student life initiatives.
- Identify, develop and implement operational plans, monitor key metrics, and assist in the decision making of strategies and policies for the undergraduate programmes
- Engage with key stakeholders such as with academic partners, industry associates, professional bodies and community partners; junior college/polytechnic educators/counselors, employers and alumni
- Interface with programmes and functional offices within NBS, cross-departments and colleges/schools within NTU and central NTU departments.
- Serve as conduit for student, faculty and industry/community partner feedback on academic and student life matters, actively seek opportunities to interact with stakeholders to be aware of challenges, issues and concerns
- Ensure smooth operations and delivery of academic and student services
- Provide administrative oversight for the implementation of new programmes and initiatives
- Spearhead co-curricular; non-credit bearing student development/enrichment programmes
- Oversee logistical and operational management relating to full value-chain of services to undergraduates
- Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance operational efficiency of the department
- Budget management: oversee budget planning and utilization; including preparation, submission, review and reporting
- People management: provide leadership and mentorship to the team; ensuring accountability, strong teamwork and culture.
- Degree from a recognized university with demonstrated competence in administrative excellence.
- At least 10 to 15 years of working experience in a leadership/managerial position
- Previous leadership experience in university management and administration, education management & consulting will be an advantage
- Proven track record in administrative excellence, strategic planning and operations
- Good knowledge and experience in organization development, personnel and operations management
- Excellent communication (written & spoken) and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, influence and develop people of various levels and cultures
- Strong business process, strategic planning and operations management skills
- Good data management and analysis, with the ability to make appropriate decisions/ recommendations
- Knowledge in process optimization, design thinking and data visualization tools such as PowerBI will be advantageous
- Be able to cultivate relationships and manage multiple stakeholder engagement at various levels, internally and externally
- Innovative, resourceful with effective problem-solving skill
