About Department and Purpose of the Position
The Assistant Director / Senior Manager, the International Collaboration Office (ICO) of Centre for Global Health plays a pivotal role in advancing the institution’s global engagement strategy. This position involves supporting the Director in fostering international partnerships, enhancing collaboration with foreign institutions, and promoting academic exchanges. The Assistant Director / Senior Manager will work closely with the faculty, administration, and external partners to develop and implement programs that enhance the institution’s presence and reputation.

The Assistant Director / Senior Manager will work closely with the faculty, administration, and external partners to develop and implement programs that enhance the institution’s presence and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
2.1 Partnership Development
- Identify and cultivate strategic international partnership with university hospitals, institutions, industry partners and various agencies.
- Develop and manage collaborative projects, academic exchanges programs, and joint initiatives.
- Assist in negotiating agreements and memorandum of understanding (MOU) with international partners.
- Develop and manage collaborative projects, academic exchanges programs, and joint initiatives.
- Track and monitor progress of each program and ability to recommend and intervene if any of the projects required assistance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all international collaboration efforts.
- Promote the university hospital’s research, innovation and clinical advances to potential collaborative partners.
- Collaborate with respective departments and communication teams to enhance visibility of international initiatives.
- Plan & manage the coordination of incoming and outgoing international visits and collaborations, ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
- Provide insights and guidance on the healthcare landscape, regulations and cultural nuances.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in all collaborative efforts.
- Track and report on the progress of collaborative projects and partnerships.
- Prepare regular updates of the impact and outcome of international collaboration efforts.
- Lead and manage a team of local staff within the International Collaboration Office.
- Provide mentorship and support to enhance team performance and professional development.
- Develop and oversee the budget for international collaboration initiatives.
- Identify funding opportunities and support grant application (if any).
- Recognized Degree. Master’s degree in international relations, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare in particular familiarity in a university hospital set up with at least 5 years of international affairs and external relations or a related area of expertise. Candidate from Ministry, Embassy, Research Agencies, Enterprises is a plus.
- Strong understanding of global healthcare trends and international partnership development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills. Proficiency and ability to converse and write in Chinese will be a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in grant, proposal writing and funding opportunities related to international projects.
- Familiarity with cross-cultural communication and global healthcare policies.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare strategic reports.
- Proficient in project management and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Proactive, result-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for advancing global health initiative and educations.
