About the Role

The Regional Globalization Director is a client-focused role responsible for overseeing and delivering globalization services to a diverse client portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships on a daily basis, ensuring service delivery meets client needs.
  • Lead the client onboarding process for localization and globalization services, facilitating smooth transitions across global, regional, and local levels.
  • Develop frameworks that address regional market complexities, regulatory requirements, and cultural differences.
  • Provide guidance to the Globalization Team on project timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee billing processes, working with Finance to generate monthly billing reports.
  • Present financial reports to clients detailing spending and service utilization.
  • Conduct client presentations and attend meetings proactively and independently.
  • Perform follow-up actions, including client satisfaction surveys, to maintain high-quality standards and strengthen relationships.
  • Identify and pursue potential new business opportunities with existing clients to enhance profitability.
  • Support the Globalization team by managing escalation and issue resolution per client complaint protocol.
  • Take an active role in researching and testing new developments, including studio integration, workflow tools, and project management enhancements.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to keep up with market trends and offerings.
  • Identify and address training needs within the team.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements, including workflow efficiency, communication protocols, and standardized service timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an advertising or translation agency.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of P&L Management.
  • 5+ years of experience with industry-leading Translation Software (CAT Tools).
  • At least 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven experience managing multi-regional or global accounts, with strong cross-cultural communication and international strategy skills.
  • Bilingual in English and another Asian language(s) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to foster positive client relationships.
  • Strong written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire, develop, and lead a team.
