Job Description
As a Senior Analytics Product Owner, you will help shape the team's vision, define the roadmap, and guide the team's efforts in delivering minimum viable products (MVPs). Your primary responsibility will be to drive value through data science products that address complex business and operational challenges. This end-to-end role involves identifying and prioritizing problems, delivering solutions, communicating results, and measuring the impact on business performance. You will serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with users, engineering, operations, GFIT, and other stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into machine learning or statistical solutions.
- Define product goals, converting them into technical requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the user experience for analytics solutions and manage a prioritized backlog of use cases.
- Develop frameworks, models, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and wider organization.
- Create and manage project schedules, facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and conduct demos with stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders from project inception through completion, providing regular status updates and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Plan team resources, manage onboarding, and ensure compliance with relevant security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data engineers, scientists, and translators to choose optimal solutions that balance business needs with technical feasibility.
- Engage with third-party vendors to support the delivery of team objectives.
- Drive team performance by overseeing reporting and analytics, tracking metrics, and maintaining project documentation.
- Lead the deployment of solutions, including user-centered design, change management, and impact measurement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience leading cross-functional agile teams in data science, data engineering, or product ownership roles.
- Strong analytical background with machine learning, statistics, and data engineering knowledge.
- Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with experience managing product backlogs and team metrics.
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies, emphasizing a fail-fast, succeed-early mindset and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, goal-oriented team culture, with a focus on motivation, trust, and rapport.
