Job Description

The successful candidate will join the strategic sourcing department in SIA Engineering Division. We are recruiting for 2 positions in repair management (Power by the Hour) or repair management (time and material) sections where he/she will support the respective repair management functions.

Key Responsibilities

RM (Power By the Hour) Associate’s Duties

  • Review daily aircraft spare part requirements and work with PBH vendors on timely fulfilment
  • Perform demand planning with PBH vendor to ensure material is available to support scheduled maintenance activities, e.g., getting BOM (Bill-Of-Material) ready for upcoming aircraft checks, modifications, or component hard-life replacements
  • Track and ensure compliance with PBH vendors’ core return requirements
  • Coordinate local logistics for delivery and dispatch of PBH programme parts
  • Part repair and replenishment order administration
  • Resolve any discrepancies highlighted by store inspectors relating to parts supplied PBH vendors
  • Investigate Customer-Induced Damaged (CID) or Maintenance-Induced-Damaged (MID) reported by PBH vendor on returned parts

RM (Time & Material) Associate’s Duties

  • Review daily aircraft spare part requirements (from Daily Shortage List) and work with repair vendors on timely turn-around of parts to support operations
  • Perform repair disposition for unserviceable components
  • Prepare repair instruction for Repair Order issuance
  • Liaise with vendors on repair query and quotations
  • Participate perform demand planning to ensure parts in repair cycle are turned around quickly to support aircraft maintenance activities
  • Coordinate local and global logistics for dispatch and return of parts from repair vendors
  • Resolve any discrepancies highlighted by store inspectors relating to parts supplied PBH vendors
  • Investigate Customer-Induced Damaged (CID) or Maintenance-Induced-Damaged (MID) reported by repair vendors

Requirements

  • Conversant with the use SAP for Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Proficient in the use Excel and PowerPoint to performance material consumption analysis and presentation
  • Knowledge and relevant experience of logistic and supply chain management would be an advantage
  • Confident and have good interpersonal skills to deal with vendors and internal customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player but also be able to work independently
  • Must be able to work under pressure, and over-time when necessary
