- Perform analytical tests on incoming, intermediate and finished product catalysts according to standard test procedures and test requirements to ensure conformity to specifications before product is released to customer
- Perform routine analyses on effluent water according to prescribed test methods to support environmental monitoring of plant wastewater treatment system
- Receive, label and store samples with relevant safety & hazard information
- Perform verification and calibration of lab testing equipment to ensure product testing is validated
- Implement preventive maintenance program for lab testing equipment, ensure equipment is well maintained to minimize downtime
- Validate and review testing procedures and ensure procedures are updated and followed
- Calculate test results, and log and report all experimental data and test results accurately in accordance with ISO9001 management system
- Organize and store all chemical substances, reagents and compressed gases according to safety guidelines
- Ensure adequate supply of laboratory supplies and consumables for smooth operation of laboratory
- Perform regular inspection of work area for compliance to ESH requirements
- Participate in safety programs, observe safety regulations, identify potential hazards in workplace and report unsafe conditions
- Ensure good housekeeping in work area
- Adhere to Company policies and work requirements and work in accordance with Company HSE Management System to perform all job tasks in a safe and environmentally sound manner
- Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Laboratory Manager
- Minimum of O Levels or equivalent and at least 3-5 years of laboratory experience
- Knowledge of laboratory best practices
- Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, EXCEL, Outlook, etc.)
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform standard mathematical calculations, familiar with different measurement units, ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
- Time management skills: able to prioritize and organize work for efficiency and higher throughput
- Good written and oral communication skills
