We are seeking a talented and passionate senior individual to join the Bank’s Group Investment Management team to ensure the Bank has change management delivery capabilities commensurate with the size and complexity of the Project / Programme book of work we are undertaking.
The team’s objective is to provide oversight and assurance in the investment management portfolio, with a focus on prioritisation, benefits capture, efficiency and execution risk. The team works under the guidance of the Global Head, Group Investment Management, the COO, TTO & Global Head, Group Transformation, TTO MT and Group MT. The office will collaborates closely with the HR, talent, learning and development functions.

We are seeking a talented and passionate senior individual to join the Bank’s Group Investment Management team to ensure the Bank has change management delivery capabilities commensurate with the size and complexity of the Project / Programme book of work we are undertaking.
The team’s objective is to provide oversight and assurance in the investment management portfolio, with a focus on prioritisation, benefits capture, efficiency and execution risk. Strategy
- For key roles Programme Manager, Project Manager, PMO, Accountable Executive, QPR leads plus others as applicable: Support the definition of a target / maturity model, a current state assessment framework and lay out the journey of improvement going forward.
- Drive a culture where lessons learnt are routinely captured, disseminated and embedded as part of the change management lifecycle.
- Work with the ‘change community’, individual Businesses and Functions in the context of change management, both to provide general guidance, drive best practices and to support them to resolving specific issues
- Gather feedback from stakeholders, and prioritise and embed these items as improvements into the roadmap of the Group’s Change Standards
- Working closely with HR, talent and learning teams
- Support the definition of certification and competency schemes, talent profiles, general objectives and minimum expectations, etc
- Support the development, production and embedding of learning and development roadmaps, with the aim to up-skilling the change delivery population.
- Champion and act as a role model of the Group’s values and culture. Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Sets appropriate tone and expectations for their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement, ensuring everyone in the Bank are drivers and owners of client outcomes.
- Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to team members, providing feedback and rewarding employees accordingly. Set the appropriate tone and expectations for the wider team.
- Employ, engage, and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Ensure team structure/capacity is reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.
- Ensure the provision of on-going training & development, ensure that direct reports are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles and that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risk.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
- Create a motivational and challenging environment for staff which is conducive to creativity and performance with customer centricity in mind.
- Provide feedback on transformation leaders to their people leaders, as part of performance reviews
- Identify, assess, monitor risks to the Group related to Change. Support the development and implementation of controls and mitigation plans.
- Ensure support procedures are in place and adhere to Group Security & Audit policies within the team
- Support the alignment of programme governance with SCB standards

- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. - 3-5 years experience in the learning and development of teams, has a genuine interested in disseminating knowledge and skills among colleagues, derives satisfaction from other’s learning and improving their skills.
- Experience in the project / programme / portfolio management space, supporting or delivering mid-large size, complex initiatives, ideally in the financial services industry.
- Understanding of change governance standards, change management, financial management, project lifecycle and related lifecycle stages. Current Knowledge of “SCB ways”.
- Hands-on experience with PM Tools.
- Understanding of both Waterfall/Classic and Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Strong influencing and communication skills – oral, written and presentation. Proven success in communicating technical information in a simple way.
- A can-do attitude committed to doing what it takes to deliver. Diligent and detail orientated.
