Chief Engineer (Piping)Job Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of Piping Engineers and Designers as the Lead Engineer of the project.
Ensure efficient project execution within the stipulated schedule and budget.
Effectively manage design changes and provide appropriate solutions as needed during project execution.
Responsible for the production of deliverables such as design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, CTR input, study reports and various third-party submissions.
Provide skills, integrity, and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and current good engineering practices.
Understand clients’ needs; identify and address design parameters and problems; develop and implement solutions.
Perform inter-discipline and discipline QA/QC and engineering compliance checks on all work performed by themselves or junior engineers within the group.
Review and manage project and general specifications, engineering procedures, and engineering policy. Adhere to company processes and procedures.
Responsible for all work completed in his/her section and delivered to the client. Ensure efficient and effective production of project deliverables.
Assist the Department Manager in discipline-related activities and work sharing with other centers.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 22 years of experience.
Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping materials, stress, layout and support engineering and design concepts.
Able to work independently with minimum guidance and coordinate well with the piping materials, stress and, layout teams as well as other disciplines.
Hands-on experience as Lead Piping Engineer of large sized FPSO/offshore platform projects.
Familiar with offshore piping materials and stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, safety requirements, and conduct 3D model reviews as per project requirements.
