About the Role
Join us as a Business Delivery Senior Manager!The Delivery Manager provides ground leadership and direction in the planning and delivery of key changes to the investment portfolios, to ensure the business unit meets its targets.
Responsibilities:
- Overall coordination and management of the Book Of Work
Solutioning - Partner with Front Office, Client services team & relevant teams to engage the clients effectively on their BOW
e.g handling their expectations, provide comprehensive value & solution proposition for their change requests.
Planning - To plan and deliver the changes across all asset classes in accordance with the existing operating models whilst taking a client centric approach. This involves effective management (i.e prioritisation, tracking, monitoring, reporting) of the pipeline & book of work.
Leading – Chair the change management working group, drive and support the change agenda in relevant forum to review the BOW with senior management.
Engagements
Maintaining frequent and open communication with relevant teams across functions to assess the overall change delivery capacity and timelines.
Strong Engagement/relationship management to manage expectations on the acceptance criteria to achieve mutual win.
Reporting - Enhance reporting to provide better visibility, facilitate improved management of changes and broader partner appreciation of the need for early engagement and consultation.
- Responsible for the delivery of work assignments on time and to expectations in terms of quality, deliverables and outcomes.
Engagement - To consult appropriate front to back functions to gather feedback to identify solution, impact of changes and effort to implement.
Delivery - Managing the end-to-end implementation and coordinating across functions once target timelines are agreed. This also includes coordinating operational readiness sign-off from an end-to-end perspective across defined control boxes.
Monitoring – to ensure the delivery is in agreed timescale, to agreed deadline and to a consistently high standard.
Reporting all risks and key issues identified during the deliveries
Drive resolution of roadblocks - Think, analyse and consider the broader context to develop practical solutions
Work through issues, weigh up alternatives and identify the most effective solutions in collaboration with others.
Take account of the wider business context when considering options to resolve issues.
Explore a range of possibilities and creative alternatives to contribute to system, process and business improvements.
- Influence others with a fair and considered approach to work towards mutually beneficial favourable outcomes
Show sensitivity and understanding in resolving conflicts and differences.
Identify key partners and gain their support in advance.
Establish a clear negotiation position based on research, a firm grasp of key issues, likely arguments, points of difference and areas for compromise.
Job Requirements:
Degree in business or a related field and/or a professional designation such as CFA, would be a distinct advantage.
Circa 5-8 years of relevant experience across the end to end investment control lifecycle with direct involvement in the management of investment portfolio changes.
Solid understanding of end-to-end investment processes across front and back-office functions.
Project and/or change management experience
Demonstrable experience (circa 5 years) in the management of investment portfolio changes, design and monitoring of change controls and managing senior parties to deliver and meet client requirements.
Strong project management skills with attention to detail to plan, organize, and coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables.
Strong influencing skills - Proactive approach and a bias towards collaboration and reaching mutual wins
Influencing and change management skills are over and above technical matters.
Strong problem-solving skills - Adept at analyzing complex situations, identifying problems, and proposing effective solutions.
Excellent presentation and effective communication skills
Independent and strong self-starter, with ability to navigate in a dynamic and VUCA environment, adept at dealing with and handle multiple and changing priorities independently.
Highly structured and methodical in execution
