Centre Manager, ZooSchool

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

School Management

• Scale up ZooSchool operations based on approved targets and budgets, including achieving school enrolment targets and financial sustainability of school operations
• Develop and implement annual work plans for the school in consultation with key stakeholders
• Ensure school operations comply with all applicable financial, corporate, procurement and professional policies and standards
• Serve as secretary to the school governance committee
• Manage and grow staff of instructors with scale up of school operations

Programme Excellence

• Plan and implement school programmes that meets market demands to achieve enrolment targets
• Ensure high quality of programmes and safety standards
• Oversee adjunct recruitment, training and mentorship to ensure high levels of competency

Brand and Marketing

• Partner marketing and commercial colleagues from Mandai Wildlife Group and SEED Institute to exploit available channels and platforms fully to achieve targets
• Be the primary custodian of ZooSchool brand, ensuring implementation is in accordance to approved brand guidelines

Job Requirements:

• Passion towards nurturing children through outdoor adventure learning and animal education
• A degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education / Animals/ Outdoor / Adventure Learning is preferred
• At least 3 years of managerial experience in a similar capacity; and an additional 3-5 years of experience in an educational environment or role
• Passion for animals and are comfortable with facilitating outdoor activities with children aged 4-12
• Experience in coaching and mentoring (preferably in an education environment)
