Job Responsibilities:
Ensure quality and continuity is maintained for all costumed shows and events.
Responsible and lead team members in costume issuance to ensure smooth execution of rehearsals, events and shows.
Able to prepare and execute operational plans for small to medium events.
Oversee maintenance of daily laundry, drying and steam ironing of costume pieces and inner wear.
Oversee costumes, and maintain, or request for maintenance as appropriate (includes hand washing, dry cleaning, fittings, mending and etc)
Train junior team members in the areas of equipment operations, dressing and handling.
Assist in identifying training needs.
Ensure all aspects of RWS WSH policies are strictly adhered to by both staff and external vendors.
Attend all costume fittings as required.
Coordinate with other costuming supervisors to troubleshoot operational issues and matters.
Job Requirements:
At least 3 or 4 years in the wardrobe line or media line or theatre line.
Minimum education level of Diploma or its equivalent.
Comfortable with shift work, long standing hours and under the sun.
Well versed in handling email correspondence, undertaking admin duties which include documentation of meeting minutes, taking notes, acting on reports and findings and follow up accordingly.
Able to multi-task and juggle daily operational needs with lead responsibilities.
Team player - proper handover list for the covering supervisors should one be on leave.
Accountable leader - ensures that team/management are updated regularly throughout the week.
