JR64428 Engineer - Facilities Construction Mechanical (Dry)

As a Micron Singapore Construction Facilities Mechanical (Dry System) Engineer, you will be designing, operating, and troubleshooting various Semiconductor Mechanical Dry systems. Engineering assignments usually include equipment or systems design and development, equipment/material testing, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities requiring a good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, control principles and techniques.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, operate and fix HVAC Systems; General, Solvent, Ammonia, and Acid Exhaust systems; House Vacuum Systems; Compressed Dry Air systems, Cleanroom and non-Cleanroon Make Up Air Systems, Structural, Civil, Test/Balance/Vibration; and Wafer Fab Process Tool Installations.

  • Perform work, which involves conventional engineering practices including a variety of sophisticated features, such as conflicting design requirements, incompatibility of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

  • Attend and participate in factory acceptance tests, (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT) & equipment commissioning.

  • Sustain operations, production personnel and construction trades to provide detailed designs and specifications for installing new capital equipment and systems.

  • Conduct engineering and supervisory duties; coordinating outside consulting resources

  • Assist in cost estimates and analysis for proposed projects; and providing support for starting up new equipment, which includes ensuring that all equipment connects with other mechanical and electrical systems seamlessly.

  • Provide engineering services and review facilities work orders, maintain various administrative and engineering databases used for job tracking, engineering data, capital equipment facilitation, and critical system loads and capacities.

  • Specify critical components for design projects and ensuring designs meet all applicable codes and rules.

  • Provide code review and analysis using NFPA, FM, UBC, UFC, UMC, IBC, IMC, IFC, and NEC; perform research and development on emerging facilities and technologies to support innovative and groundbreaking semiconductor processes.

  • Participate in mid to long-term infrastructure planning, ensuring facilities supports the overall company plan.

  • Carry out all work in accordance with company safety guidelines

  • Maintain good communication with the Mechanical Engineering organization, as well as other engineering teams and all customers throughout the organization.

  • Collaborate with global facilities during the construction phase to ensure that lessons learnt are incorporated into the design where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field is required.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC Systems; General, Solvent, Ammonia, and Acid Exhaust systems; House Vacuum Systems; Compressed Dry Air systems, Cleanroom and non-Cleanroom Make Up Air Systems, Structural, Civil, Test/Balance/Vibration; and Wafer Fab Process Tool Installations.

  • Detailed understanding of Semiconductor Mechanical Dry systems.

  • Proficiency in digital literacy including word processing, spreadsheet, and database packages.

  • Good team work and organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.'

  • Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize and schedule workload.

  • Experience in semiconductor industry or high-tech construction environments are preferred!
