The Job
- Oversee daily facility operations, responding promptly to reply on the service request raised by internal stakeholder and other complaints.
- Able to plan and implement maintenance activities and schedules based on M&E requirements and resource availability.
- Coordinate and communicate on the maintenance activities with Term Contractors, co-workers and various departments in the organisation.
- Plan for substation inspection, servicing, and repairs during scheduled downtime.
- Good understanding of the substation equipment & requirements (transformer, HV/LV switch gear, bus-bars, generators, etc)
- Able to plan and scheduling for urgent, short and long term works related to M&E requirements
- Able to communicate with vendors to source for quotation and understand the value of M&E materials.
- Knowledge on preparation of tender specification, tender documents, and special requirements.
- Able to Raise Purchase Request (PR)/ Request for Quotation (RFQ) / Request for Proposal (RFP) and work closely with procurement department.
- Liaise with term contractors such as planning maintenance schedule, where applicable.
- Able to prepare, review and establish SOP documents, work procedure and work flow processes for M&E requirements.
- Make recommendations on best practices to be in line with industry standards.
- Tracking / updating the potential and current maintenance problems and follow through on rectifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance procedures, service reports and documents.
- Able to analyse the data to narrow down the root cause of issues and come up with recommendations for improvements.
- Able to prepare incident reports and investigate on the findings related to any M&E activities.
- Able to liaise and communicate with government agencies when necessary.
- Basic troubleshoot on M&E systems in place.
- Able to read and understand As-built drawings, cable routings, Single Line Diagrams, electrical sketching’s and equipment drawings.
- Understand the OPEX/CAPEX spendings.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines when required.
- Able to handle small projects with minimal supervision.
- Required to be available on site after office hours, occasionally on weekends and public holidays for incident/issue that needs immediate attention.
- Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Team Leader /Division Manager.
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in field of Engineering (Electrical / Industrial / Mechanical / Building and Facilities) or equivalent
- Minimum working experience of 3 to 5 years, preferably as technician or engineer.
- Possess a Valid Class 3 licence / LEW Grade licence (7 or 8) will be a n advantage for this position.
- Knowledge on Singapore Standards and Industrial practice.
- Knowledge on project management will be advantage.
