Description

As the Business Manager (Assistant General Manager) you will be a driving force behind the company's success, overseeing essential business areas and fostering operational excellence. Working closely with senior management, you will ensure the company remains efficient and strategically aligned for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage four key areas-Legal Compliance, Operational Excellence, Risk Management, and Financial Oversight-ensuring these functions operate efficiently to support the company's overall goals.
  • Assume responsibility for financial oversight by ensuring sound budgeting, understanding company accounting policies and bookkeeping processes, and maintaining compliance with risk management and internal audit standards while collaborating with external auditors, alongside the company Financial Controller.
  • Collaborate with the management team and Head of Departments to resolve operational challenges, streamline processes, and review company policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and enhance effectiveness.
  • Regularly assess the company structure and provide strategic recommendations to the Managing Director, focusing on enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and long-term organizational success.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at driving innovation and continuous improvement across the business. Implement yield management strategies to maintain competitiveness and ensure profitability across divisions.
  • Oversee headcount, budget planning, and resource allocation to improve productivity.
  • Communicate the company's strategic direction clearly to stakeholders, conduct quarterly reviews to monitor departmental targets, and work with the Business Development team to develop an aligned sales strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders by attending key meetings, functions, and events.

Profile

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • A strong track record of leadership in a similar role, ideally within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) or start-up environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, from employees to senior management, is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to evaluate complex business scenarios and make informed decisions.
  • You should possess the capability to address operational and strategic challenges by demonstrating commercial business acumen and providing said recommendations to the Managing Director.
