In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to Public Sector organizations, focusing on aligning business and technology strategies to drive impactful change. With a consultative mindset, you’ll help clients achieve their objectives while growing the Thoughtworks presence in Singapore’s Public Sector.

Job responsibilities

  • Revenue Management: Achieve established revenue targets and manage sales, revenue, and margins within key Public Sector accounts. The focus will be on both account management (75%) and business development (25%).
  • Account Growth: Manage 1-3 anchor accounts at a time, with responsibility for large accounts. Develop long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across various public sectors like Healthcare, Finance, Defense, and Education.
  • Consultative Selling: Approach executives as business partners, offering services that address their evolving needs, without focusing on product selling. Drive consultative, intangible selling in a highly networked and RFP-driven environment.
  • Strategic Leadership: Stay attuned to Public Sector initiatives and government digital transformation projects, aligning Thoughtworks offerings with client needs and larger strategic goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with technical leaders to support delivery teams and ensure successful outcomes for both the client and Thoughtworks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage risks by keeping a close eye on engagements, ensuring Thoughtworks delivers expected outcomes while identifying additional revenue opportunities.


Job Qualifications

Professional Skills

  • Experience: 10+ years in executive, revenue-generating roles, particularly in the Public Sector. Proven track record in Healthcare, Finance, Defense, or Education is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, adept at negotiating and managing large accounts, with experience in managing complex sales cycles, both short-term and long-term.
  • Consultative Mindset: You excel in client-centric environments, able to translate abstract strategies into actionable business solutions, and thrive in negotiations with C-suite executives.
  • Public Sector Expertise: Familiarity with Government procurement processes and local Public Sector regulations is a strong advantage. Preference will be given to Singaporean nationals due to government engagement requirements.
  • Strategic Thinking: You balance visionary thinking with practical execution, crafting win-win value propositions and continuously expanding Thoughtworks’ footprint in the Public Sector.
  • Client Relationships: Build and nurture long-term, strategic relationships that expand Thoughtworks’ role within key accounts.
