Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) established in September 2010 is a partnership between Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The School operates from two campuses - Yunnan Campus at Nanyang Technological University and Novena Campus, which is located in the precinct of the future HealthCity. Our primary healthcare partner is the National Healthcare Group (NHG) which comprises an integrated network of primary healthcare polyclinics, acute care hospitals such as Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and national specialist centres. LKCMedicine delivers a new five-year undergraduate medical programme leading to a joint MBBS degree awarded by Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University.

The Population and Global Health research programme at LKCMedicine hosts Health for Life in Singapore and SG100K population health study. Both studies are led by Professor John Chambers. We are recruiting a Programme Administratorto assist in the managing and coordinating the programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grant management: To assist in pre- and post-award activities, e.g., communication with external parties for budget requirements, ensuring administrative compliance with grantor's guidelines, budget projection, budget phasing, submission of progress reports, etc.
  • Coordination of review of research-related agreements: Working with LKCMedicine investigators, external parties and legal office to execute research-related agreements.
  • Coordination of meetings/visit programmes: Managing internal stakeholders' commitment / availabilities and working with external parties to coordinate meetings for potential collaborations, grant applications, workshops, etc.
  • Coordination of visits for Visiting Professors or equivalent: Working with Visiting Professor(s) to plan out their work trip to LKCMedicine, include scheduling of meetings, liaising with NTU official ticketing office (or similar) to arrange for tickets, etc.

Key Competencies And Requirements

  • Candidates should have at least a diploma/degree in Science, Biomedical Sciences or related discipline.
  • Candidates will also need to undertake other activities to ensure that the operation of the research programme is smooth and therefore, must have a keen sense of initiative, be organized and collegial.
  • Related administrative working experience in a biomedical science/healthcare setting will be advantageous, but not necessary. Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
