We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Events and Catering Sales to oversee the sales and operations of Events and Catering unit. You will lead teams, drive strategic planning and sales, and ensure smooth event delivery, contributing to the overall success of our F&B businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop team members, fostering a positive culture focused on guest satisfaction, effective conversions, and event success.
  • Drive event and catering sales to achieve revenue targets, while exploring new business opportunities and maximizing venue potential.
  • Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring high standards and seamless collaboration with operations teams for smooth delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring high-quality service and competitive pricing.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events, incorporating attractions and new technologies to enhance offerings.
  • Ensure billing compliance with SOPs and accuracy in purchasing documents, while managing enquiries to support pipeline growth and strong conversion rates.
  • Monitor sales activity, lead financial forecasting and budgeting, and control expenditures while providing detailed and meaningful reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to customize menus and enhance event experiences.
  • Analyze competitor offerings to keep Mount Faber Peak's venues competitive and relevant.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in event sales, planning, and execution of mid- to large-scale events, including weddings, corporate functions, and school events (physical and hybrid).
  • Experience in catering, event services, or hotel management is an advantage.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally and amicably with business partners and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to foster strong client relationships.
  • Business agility with the ability to package events and relevant products to create curated experiences.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and focused on ensuring successful event delivery.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or odd hours (with off-in-lieu compensation).
