Job Summary

As UHNW Banker, Executive Director in the Taiwan market team of J.P. Morgan Private Bank, you are responsible for advising families on building, preserving and managing their wealth. You will use your knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit and banking to both advise current clients on all aspects of their balance sheet and generate new client acquisition. You will be part of a local team and supported by an institutional platform that has the resources, specialists and intellectual capital to help you advise clients on achieving their desired goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Focus on ultra-high-net-worth (Principal Business) individuals and families, as well as institutions for our Taiwan market coverage team
  • Manage all aspects of client relationship, develop and maintain long-term relationships through strong personal networks and contacts
  • Articulate and deliver strategic messages to their portfolio, prepare presentations and proposals, and take both solicited and unsolicited orders in all asset classes. Update clients regularly on markets, portfolio performance, investments opportunities, risks
  • Build portfolio of clients using resources and expertise of JPMorgan’s platforms, products, services, and networks
  • Partner with the client including (but not limited to) updating Know Your Client (KYC) information, client suitability profile, hosting client meetings, monitoring funds/asset transfer and handling client ad-hoc queries.
  • Understand each client’s wealth objects and investment requirements, and work in close partnership with Investors in proposing, delivering, and executing solutions for clients; as well as in identifying new business opportunities
  • Oversee private client relationships by providing strategic advice based on each client’s wealth objectives. Provide access to specialists and manage clients’ investment portfolios
  • Keeping track of Clients, Assets Under Management (AUM) and Revenues using our internal systems; periodic calculation of account performance.
  • Work together with other teams in meeting all compliance, regulatory, risk management, operational, and due diligence requirements and compliance with internal policies.

Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in wealth management or relevant industry, along with strong client and stakeholder management skills is required.
  • Understand and have working knowledge of the private banking key regulatory and control environments that are relevant to the team and be able to manage the accounts accordingly.
  • Proven client management skills and effective communication skills (oral and written) who can positively engage and influence clients as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and must be a team player and able to work with different business functions across the bank.
  • Operate with a high level of integrity and risk awareness.
  • As the role is an important contributor to the strategy of JP Morgan, comfort and experience working with and reporting to senior management is required
  • Proficiency in Mandarin language is required as there will be frequent interaction with clients from Taiwan.

  • Appropriate local regulatory qualification and licenses preferred in Singapore
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
  • Strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments
