A Norwegian multinational corporation is looking for an accountant to join their Singapore office.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, and as a key member of the finance team, you will oversee monthly financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Your responsibilities will include providing finance support and communication to various business units, collaborating with managers on client invoicing and documentation, and reviewing the general ledger for assigned companies. You will also prepare statutory, management, and tax reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additional duties include assisting with annual budgeting, variance analysis, and rolling forecasts, as well as preparing audit schedules and reconciliations. You will drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness, maintain robust internal controls, and develop procedures to ensure adherence. Furthermore, you will liaise with external auditors during audits and perform other tasks as required by the Finance department.
What you'll need to succeed
The team is seeking a qualified finance professional with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, extensive relevant experience may substitute for formal education. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage teams. Additional preference will be given to candidates with cross-border and multicultural experience, showcasing adaptability and effectiveness in diverse environments.
