Crewing Manager

Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for managing operations related to crewing of the vessels owned and operated by SG groups of companies which includes SG Shipping Pte Ltd and SeaCabbie Pte Ltd. Additionally the role will also support marine operations for SG group when required.

Accountabilities:

• Overall-in-charge of Crewing operations including recruitment, planning and logistics
• Source and develop a reliable manning pool to meet the entire fleet’s manning requirement. This includes planning for onboarding trainees and developing them for full-time positions
• Plan and manage the crew rotation efficiently in tandem with vessel operations
• Manage and monitor the documentation/records related to the crew and crewing operations. Crewing documentation includes work permits, professional documents, medical documents, etc)
• Develop training schedules and maintain training records for crewing pool.
• Handle employment related matters, including disciplinary matters and career progression
• Prepare and present regular MIS reports for crewing department
• Work closely with HR department for processing monthly manpower related operations
• Provide support for various compliance audits as required
• Provide support for managing and preparation of annual budget and regular reporting
• Understudy the Marine operations – Seacabbie counter ops and Group Business development and provide support as required from time to time
• Any other task related to SG group activities as maybe assigned from time to time by leadership team

Qualifications

• Diploma in any discipline; Maritime transportation related qualification is advantageous
• Ability/proficiency to use MS office, and other operations related software
• Proficient in written and spoken English

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in marine crewing operations

Skills

• Able to work under pressure in a fast changing and demanding environment
• Self-discipline, initiative, responsible and independent and keen attention to details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
