Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems (databases, data warehouses, etc.).
  • Work with large datasets and complex data structures to integrate and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient ETL solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, ETL mappings, and process flow charts.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design and implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency across different systems.
  • Monitor ETL processes for performance tuning and ensure jobs are completed within the desired SLA.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other team members to maintain high-quality standards in development.
  • Assist with the migration of data and transformation processes to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) if applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, data governance, and security standards.

Job Requirements And Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL for complex queries and transformations.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL workflows and data processes.
  • Solid experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Familiarity with data quality and governance frameworks.
  • Good understanding of data management and transformation best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues.
  • Experience with version control systems and tools (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for data integration and ETL operations (nice to have).
