Details of the Division and Team:

Technology Operations is responsible for the technical infrastructure required to supply IT services to the bank. Work includes:

  • Overseeing strategy, design, development, and deployment of IT solutions

  • Improving or developing new products, components, equipment, systems, technologies, or processes

  • Ensuring that research and design methodologies meet established scientific and engineering standards

  • Assisting with formulating business plans and budgets for product development

  • Analyzing quality/safety test results to ensure compliance with internal and external standards

  • Keeping abreast of new developments in the industry and translating those developments into new and viable options for the organization and clients

  • Organizing technical presentations to clients and/or industry groups

  • Monitoring product development outcomes to ensure technical, functional, cost, and timing targets are met

  • May be responsible for managing product regulatory approval process

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide BAU support during APAC hrs.

  • Built Oracle cloud@customer platform for Migration

  • Migrating database from On-prem to Oracle cloud@customer.

  • Support Exadata & non-Exadata patching activities.

  • Troubleshoot performance issue and apply permanent fix.

  • Restore & recover database on-demand basis.

  • Oracle database upgrade to 19c.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience as Oracle DBA within the IT support industry or financial industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting Oracle Exadata and Exadata cloud@customer platform in a mid-size to large production support environment.
  • OCM or equivalent proficiency
  • Strong experience in Oracle cloud and tooling.
  • Strong experience with Oracle 11g R2/12c RAC including build, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Good knowledge of Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) \ CRS management and configuration
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle ASM and Dataguard administration
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing and maintaining Exadata machines. Solid exposure to Exadata hardware with a good understanding of compute nodes, storage cells, Infiniband switches maintenance, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Exadata Quarterly Patching, software, and firmware upgrades.
  • Experience managing Oracle ZFS appliance, including managing shares, pools.
  • Good understanding of the governance required to retain production availability (including checks, patching, capacity management, security, managing internal and external audits)
  • Expertise in SQL & Database level performance tuning
  • Strong experience in backup, recovery (including flashback technologies) and migration using RMAN, datapump and export\ import processes.
  • Knowledge of database scripting and automation technologies
  • Experience with management of databases using Enterprise manager Grid Control
  • Experience with utilizing workflow and management tools.
  • Ability to apply technical principles when performing troubleshooting.
  • Solid technical fluency with tools and systems
  • Knowledge of server concepts & architectures
  • Knowledge of network and firewall concepts & architectures
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts & architectures
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework
  • Works collaboratively with other team members and builds positive working relationships.
  • Able to learn quickly and apply common sense to new situations but understand when it is appropriate to engage others for advice.
  • Open and transparent in style and approach when working with others.
  • Ability to be proactive and take ownership to bring task to conclusion.
  • Proactive in communicating and selection of audience according to topic
  • Highly organized and capable of tracking a variety of tasks to closure
  • Good time management principles and effective in prioritizing workloads.
  • Solid meeting management principles would be desired;
  • Experience working with partners in different locations and cultures
  • Ability to manage conference calls with multiple attendees in order to resolve issues.
  • Ability to effectively articulate a status or plan to peers and clients.


Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
