As a world-class industrial technology and thermal products leader, Watlow designs and manufactures heating solutions consisting primarily of electric resistive heaters, temperature sensors, temperature and power controllers and supporting software – all the components of a thermal system. The ideal candidate will be 1) leading, coaching and developing effective teams and 2) analyzing and translating data into clear market objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to covert market data into successful strategy;
  • Prior experience leading regional teams providing effective coaching, mentoring and team development;
  • Strong expertise in analytics, data interpretation, market trend/research/reporting, requires more general marketing skills and experience in areas like campaign development, promotions, project management, PR/advertising, content marketing, etc;
  • Prior experience leading the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies (ie. web, social media, email marketing, Google analytics, etc.);
  • Implements marketing and Business Unit marketing strategies;
  • Determines best practices to achieve goals;
  • Advances and improves Center of Expertise (COE’s);
  • Leveraging cultural commonalities amongst Watlow global community;
  • Understands the value proposition of the organization and the inter-relationships needed to deliver it;
  • Applies organizational metrics and correlates the relevance to business success;

Services:

  • Establish regional vertical marketing plans and budgets, and assure implementation to achieve business goals;
  • Ensure a consistent review of regional industry and application segmentation is maintained within the organization’s databases;

Delivery:

  • Support efforts to understand the external market environment through market research, Environment of Customer/Voice of Customer (EOC/VOC), trend analysis, competitive analysis, and customer analysis;
  • Leverage mastery and experience to oversee, coach and develop regional marketing communications team;
  • Identify emerging markets with potential for profitable growth;
  • Collaborate and work with product management to incorporate regional needs, opportunities, competition environment and issues into both global product plans and regional plans in order to achieve growth objectives;
  • Collaborate and work closely with Product Management and Marketing Communication for new product launches globally;
  • Provide sales tools and training on industry applications and strategies;
  • Lead and coordinate region’s advertising and promotional plans including tradeshows, working closely with the leader for the defined strategic market;
  • Maintain and enhance Watlow’s brand in assigned region by working closely with Product Management and Marketing Communication;
  • Ability to assess complex market landscape and create a focused, integrated vertical market plan.

Business Partner:

  • Work closely with account and business development managers to develop account strategies and plans to maximize revenue growth and return on investment;

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and related experience (10+ years)

Additional Information Regarding Position:

  • Required to work fast-paced environment;
  • Fluent in English is a requirement for this position, any additional Asian languages are a plus especially Malay, Mandarin, Japanese;
  • Expert skill level with all Microsoft Office applications;
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work;
  • Some travel required to Korea, Southeast Asia (maybe China occasionally) for shows and events when additional support is required.
