What you will be responsible for:

Air Network Design, Air Network Planning & Implementation, Planning & Management, Pick-Up-Delivery P&E, Station P&E, Sort System P&E, Hub P&E, Gateway P&E, In-Country Ground Movement P&E

  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient air network planning, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Analyze and optimize air freight networks to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Assess and manage cargo capacity to meet demand, considering factors such as aircraft capacity, scheduling, and seasonal fluctuations.

Liaison with Field Ops Managing International Air Linehaul, Strategic Network Alliances, Business Planning, Program & Project Management, Business Continuity/ Crisis Management Leadership.

  • Work closely with airlines, ground handlers, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate and streamline air freight operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and systems and implement changes to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.

Operations Research, Product Launches, Ops Management Training, Service Quality, Process Excellence, Operations Technology & Systems, Clearance

  • Utilize and implement technology solutions, such as cargo management systems and tracking tools, to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.
  • Identify potential risks in air freight operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of shipping documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Additional:

  • Position requires network planning and scheduling skill sets and will be responsible to drive regional and intercontinental network optimization using modeling tools.
  • Position is critical to ensure optimum network utilization at right cost and service, supports cross-regional and cross-functional engagement to improve demand-capacity planning performance.
  • Position requires data analytics skill sets, technology development and adoption, involves creating reporting for leadership.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Relevant experience in air network planning, logistics, or a related field is typically required. Experience with international logistics is often an asset.
  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is often required. Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for assessing and optimizing air freight operations.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with diverse stakeholders and conveying complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools used in air freight planning and logistics.
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as weather disruptions, regulatory changes, or unexpected events, is important in the dynamic field of air freight planning and engineering.
