We Dream, Design and Deliver in the technology and media space, leading Singapore into a limitless digital future.

Join us in playing an exciting role in building Singapore's digital metropolis.

If you have what it takes to build Singapore's digital future with us, we are looking for a Digital Policy Specialist to join the Policy, Regulation & Competition Development Group!

What the role is: Build a globally competitive, future-ready, resilient, and cyber-secure infrastructure, and a fit-for-purpose regulatory regime to protect public and businesses' interests amidst new threats and challenges in the digital domain. PRCD develops forward-thinking policies and regulations in digital technology and services to enable markets to deliver competitive, innovative, and quality services to Singapore's digital economy and society.

The digital domain is a key driver of economic growth for Singapore and is today a dominant reality for Singaporeans. However, along with the economic promise and ubiquity of digitalisation comes domestic and global challenges. One aspect is in the regulatory space, to ensure that our regulatory policies in both traditional telecom/internet and in the expanded scope of digital connectivity remain relevant, and constantly watch for tech trends and societal shifts on both domestic and international fronts, to formulate fit-for-purpose regulatory policies for the growth of our digital economy.

You will be part of a dynamic team, which aims to:

  • Identify opportunities, incubate ideas, and develop policies for the digital domain, ranging from telecom and internet to new digital connectivity and regulatory issues

What you will be working on:

  • Undertake research, perform robust and deep analysis, and engage internal and external stakeholders, to establish sound policy positions (including legal and regulatory policy)
  • Monitor the infocomm and digital economy environment to develop, recommend and implement short and long-term policies and regulatory frameworks
  • Present, advocate and demonstrate the validity of policies for implementation
  • Manage and ensure progress of various work streams
  • Play an advisory role to other business units within IMDA regarding existing policy positions and new areas of policy work in the infocomm and digital economy space
  • Participate and contribute to international platforms to advance Singapore's interests

What we are looking for:

  • Background in Economics, Engineering, or Public Policy (other disciplines may be considered)
  • Keen and demonstrated interest and understanding of technology, the digital economy, and telecom/internet sector and its impact on economy and society
  • Clear and good writing skills, with an analytical mind and ability to communicate policy/regulatory ideas with clarity and coherence
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work well across teams and organisations
  • Self-directed, agile, and able to operate in an evolving and fast-paced environment

Position will be commensurate with experience.

Only short-listed candidates will be notified.
