Description

We are seeking an analytical and organised individual with knowledge of the financial markets, client-facing experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Our ideal candidate would have a strong consultative approach to effectively engage with clients in these markets.

This role will report to the Head of APAC Client Solutions, and the position is an important part of implementing Preqin’s client-focused and data solutions approach. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a client-facing role within a fast-growing sector.

The Client Solutions Team sits within our global Sales Team. It is one of the primary points of contact for our clients in the business that have any queries relating to the Preqin platform, or the wider company. We are a global team who are based within our London, New York, Chicago, Singapore, and Tokyo offices, providing 24/5 support to our clients. Our Client engagement strategy involves close and consistent relationship building with our clients to have a deep understanding of their work processes and requirements and from there, ensuring they have access to the best and most suitable tools on our platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responding to inbound client inquiries independently, often requiring collaboration with internal teams like Research, Sales, Product, and Engineering.
  • Responding to client queries in real-time via Intercom chat or over the phone
  • Understanding client needs for utilizing Preqin and provide solutions and guidance in extracting relevant information and data from the Preqin platform
  • Conducting training sessions to enhance client understanding of the Preqin platform when needed
  • Providing proactive and consultative support to internal stakeholders and clients, complimenting the efforts with retention and net revenue growth for an existing client base
  • Collaborate with Research/Sales/Product on implementing points of feedback from clients to enhance overall Customer Experience

What You’ll Bring To Us

  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls, capable of building relationships with financial professionals and adept at explaining complex issues clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to dealing with issues and complex requests, investigating anomalies and a desire to get to the bottom of a problem
  • Organizational proficiency, able to manage priorities and expectations for incoming requests and projects, and diligent in documenting and logging activity in CRM system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlook ups, pivot tables, 'what if’ statements etc. and effectively presenting large amounts of data to assist with client requests
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and consistency is a key feature of client support
  • Strong team player with the ability and enthusiasm to work independently, balancing urgent tactical work, periodic operational needs, and our longer-term sales initiatives
  • Previous work experience in customer or sales support/client relations or other client-facing role, as you will be liaising with key decision makers at financial institutions
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
