As the Head of Marketing, APAC, you are responsible for leading the Marketing and Communications activities in Asia Pacific to support the business growth objectives.

About You

The Head of Marketing, APAC leads the APAC Marketing and Communications team in developing customer-focused marketing activities, in collaboration with the team from CDP (Category Development & Planning) and Global Marketing. Translating the value proposition developed by the Category Development Managers into stories telling propositions, through:

Ensuring successful Execution of Regional go-to-market programs, Product and Solution Launches, and Branding and Positioning efforts Owning all customer and category-related communication in the region, aligning with global marketing and corporate communications on trade shows, customer events and associations Gather and disseminate intelligence on factors affecting the immediate marketplace, contributing significantly to the Regional Category Strategy. Manages and owns regional marketing budget.

This role reports to the Head of Category Development & Planning and manages a team based in Shanghai & Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Leading the regional marketing strategy
  • Leading the development of regionalized category and customer related communications
  • Regional Integrated 360 Marketing Programs: Input into the Design & lead Execution of plans
  • Support commercial priorities.
  • Ensure High-Performance Team Management and Facilitation
  • Marketing Plans for the APAC Region
  • Regional Trends and Market Analysis
  • Regional Execution of Marketing programs and Customer support materials:
  • Regional CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS Development & Planning:
  • Development and execution of Global Brands Strategy Partner with CDP to co-ordinate New Product Launch
  • Support Regional Customers, Key Customers and Stakeholder Connections
  • Direct Customer communication
  • Internal Communication PR and Media Relations Media Planning

EHS

  • Perform, Maintain and improve the EHS standards and requirements as set by the Company. Participate in the company’s EHS program including training, audit etc., arranged by the company

Location

This role is based in Biopolis, Singapore.

What You’ll Have

With proven team management skills and the ability to direct, encourage, support, and motivate; you will have gained the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in marketing management or similar discipline
  • Min 12 years of marketing experience in B2B food ingredients (highly desirable) with min 5 years’ experience leading a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the food and beverage industries within APAC – in particular China & Indonesia, an ability to offer insights and ideas to bring creative value-added solutions to the customer and marketplace;
  • Solid understanding of the key levers of the food ingredients business, including customer needs, market trends, competition, success factors and potential risks;
  • Comprehensive understanding of APAC, its business practices at both multinational and local companies and relevant customer segments.
  • A high sense of personal integrity, honesty and trust, an individual with unbending uncompromising ethics;
  • An individual with great energy, drive, enthusiasm, commitment and a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Inquisitive personality with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams under pressing deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams in a matrix reporting environment and contribute meaningfully to the regional management team.
  • Be a team player with Business Drive and Customer Experience.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams across functions in a matrix reporting environment and contribute meaningfully to the regional management team.
  • Strong analytical experience with the demonstrated ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Successful track record in formulating a company’s medium- and long-term market plans in a changing business environment.
  • Proven ability to see business in new ways and to identify new sales and marketing opportunities and then convert them into realizable revenue.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, partnering, collaboration and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Have excellent presentation skills.
  • Have excellent command of Mandarin and English in both oral and written (To support China)
