Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a creative and data-driven Marketing Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our brand presence across various digital channels, ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment. Your responsibilities will include social media management, content creation, and maintaining fund details on industry databases and platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • B2B Positioning: Understand and implement effective B2B marketing strategies tailored for the maritime industry. No prior maritime knowledge is necessary, but the ability to position our brand and portfolio effectively within this sector is crucial.
  • Content Creation: Develop compelling content derived from our datasets, including portfolio highlights, in-house knowledge playbooks, and insights from our advisor and investor networks. Leverage creativity to transform existing information into engaging marketing materials.
  • LinkedIn Growth and Engagement: Focus solely on LinkedIn to increase our following and engagement. Implement strategies to build a strong and active community, driving brand awareness and interaction.
  • Brand Building: Establish and enhance Motion Ventures’ brand credibility. Aim to position Motion Ventures as a leading brand in the maritime industry, akin to the brand presence of Apple or Sequoia in their respective fields.
  • SEO and Analytics: Utilise SEO strategies and data analytics to optimise content performance and reach. Monitor and report on key metrics to refine and improve marketing efforts.
  • Graphic Design: Perform basic graphic design tasks to support content creation. While not core, having skills in this area is beneficial.
  • Reporting: Report directly to the head of Motion Ventures, providing regular updates on marketing activities, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience Level: Entry to mid-level experience in marketing, preferably with a focus on B2B.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Key Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SEO and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in content creation and social media management, particularly on LinkedIn.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Tools and Software: Familiarity with LinkedIn Analytics, content management systems (CMS), and basic design tools.
  • Attributes:
  • Highly creative and able to think outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
