The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a The Financial Controller for Supply Chain Management will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, reporting, and control of supply chain activities. This role will require a deep understanding of supply chain processes within the pulp and paper industry, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution, ensuring cost efficiency and financial compliance. This role will be responsible to manage end to end logistics cost both inbound and outbound for all the product groups within April.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight:

  • Lead and manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for supply chain operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis, with a focus on supply chain cost management.
  • Collaborate with the procurement, logistics, and production teams to drive cost reduction strategies and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Cost Management & Optimization:

  • Develop and implement cost control measures across procurement, inventory, and logistics to optimize overall supply chain financial performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate variances between actual costs and budgeted costs, providing actionable insights for corrective actions.

Supply Chain Finance Analytics:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of supply chain processes, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement financial models to support decision-making and provide insights into the profitability of supply chain operations.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, company policies, and supply chain contracts.
  • Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard assets within the supply chain.
  • Conduct regular audits of supply chain operations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Reporting & KPIs:

  • Develop and track key financial and operational performance metrics (KPIs) related to supply chain activities.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into supply chain performance and financial impact.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations and sales, to streamline financial processes within the supply chain.
  • Work closely with freight forwarder, barge suppliers, carriers, breakbulk suppliers and assist Supply chain head for negotiations on rate contracts for all the activities under supply chain management.
  • Provide financial leadership and support for supply chain-related projects and strategic initiatives. This position works closely with business FC’s.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial control and reporting accuracy across the supply chain.
  • Drive initiatives to integrate advanced financial tools and systems for better supply chain visibility and control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing or supply chain-intensive industry such as pulp and paper, FMCG, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, financial controls, and cost management principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
