Primary Objective(s) of Position

  • Carry out the full spectrum of Human Resource functions (excluding payroll) for the Company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interview job applicants; review applications/resume; evaluate applicants’ skills and make recommendations regarding applicants’ qualifications.
  • Conduct the orientation program for new employees, and make improvements where necessary.
  • Make recommendations to the Department Heads on training courses, i.e. relevance to the job, budget, etc.
  • Develop training roadmap for different spectrum of jobs in the company and for employee development.
  • Establish and implement HR policies and procedures that are compliant to labour statutes.
  • Ensure established human resource policies and procedures that are adopted and applied.
  • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Verify claims and ensure that items claimed are within allowable criteria.
  • Implement talent management strategies, involving mapping of core competencies with the Company’s Vision and Mission, through job evaluation, specification, and description.
  • Implement Continuous Development programs.
  • Develop staff motivation and development strategies to achieve Talent Management targets and roadmap to achieve Company’s goals for staff.
  • In tandem with the Company’s talent management drive and initiatives, to recommend, plan and provide HR programmatic support to these initiatives.
  • Conduct staff counselling and manage employee grievances as and when required.
  • Conduct exit interviews with resigned employees as and when required.
  • Plan, write, maintain and update job descriptions for all job positions.
  • Fulfil any ad hoc duties as assigned from management.

Person Specifications

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource or a related discipline with good knowledge of labour law, Employment Act, and employment practices in Singapore.
  • More than 2 years of significant HR working experience.
  • Good command of English and possess smooth oral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Must possess initiative, drive and tactfulness in handling internal employees and external officers/suppliers/contractors
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Results-orientated/driven person and a team player.
  • Passion for HR work with a desire to serve and lead people.
  • Able to plan, organize, meet deadlines and demonstrate effective time management skills.
  • High confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people.
