Regulatory Compliance Engineer

We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer who is skilled in understanding and applying product safety, EMC and RF standards to meet product regulatory and compliance requirements. This position will be responsible for all aspects of safety and regulatory compliance for Bluetooth Speakers, Soundbar, Headsets, PC soundcards, Webcams, and AC Adapters.

• Support worldwide product certification submission to test labs and registration process with the regulatory agencies.

• Review new chemicals, materials, and components for compliance with company, supplier and customer specifications.

• Review and understand various potential applicable global regulatory requirements such as RoHS, REACH, California Safe Consumer Products Regulation, Conflict Minerals and Corporate Social Responsibility

• Responsible for e-waste reporting to various compliance schemes.

• Responsible for assigned projects from product development to mass production.

• Continuous support on compliance work related to engineering changes post-production stage

• Generate and maintain in-house guidelines, compliance database, technical standards and procedures concerning worldwide environment regulations and market trends.

• Track and maintain certificate expiry and renewal

• Monitor and track worldwide regulatory news in the areas of material restriction, energy efficiency, product recycle/take-back, Safety and EMC; assess and prepare regulatory requirement summary, identify impacts and propose action plan.

Requirements

• Degree/ Diploma in Science or Engineering
• More than 3 years of working experience in handling consumer product regulatory compliance, including RoHS & WEEE regulations will be an advantage.
• Analytical skills to review regulations and understand the impacts of company activities, products and services.
• Good project management and problem-solving skills;
• Engineering / technical background with material knowledge is a plus.
• Able to research chemical applications, environmental and toxicological hazards
• Able to influence and build rapport with internal and external parties
• Able to cope with a busy work schedule
• Fluent in both English and Chinese to communicate and interpret engineering technical terms with Mandarin-speaking associates
