Role Responsibilities
- Work with various product desks to confirm new transactions, perform internal due diligence.
- Work with traders, analysts, legal, credit, treasury, and operations teams, as necessary, to draft transaction terms and identify any special provisions to be included in contracts, as appropriate.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between deal tickets, broker confirms and counterparty contracts, as needed
- Identify risks and promptly escalate any issues to the appropriate department for further discussion and resolution to ensure best possible advantage/position for the company
- Assist with NDAs, services agreements and other legal documentation related to the business
- Create and generate physical and financial contracts in the company’s form and respond to counterparty contracts, as appropriate
- Ensure docs are processed and filed
- Communicate with counterparties
- General confirmation administration, tracking, follow-up
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in Mandarin a plus
- Minimum 3 years’ experience, energy commodities experience preferred
- Knowledge of key legal contract provisions
- Knowledge of financial swaps and other related OTC products a plus but not required
- Ability to work with all levels of Company
- Ability to multi-task at a high level and work independently
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word
- Team player, positive attitude
