Our client, the largest financial institution in the Middle East, is seeking a #CreditRiskAnalyst to analyze their customers' borrower creditworthiness, credit structures, and exposure levels to support well-informed lending decisions and manage financial risks effectively.

  • 3-6 months role - highly convertible to perm!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess credit proposals to align with the organization’s credit risk strategy and risk appetite.
  • Ensure all approvals comply with internal policies and regulatory frameworks, balancing risk and profitability.
  • Operate within delegated authority limits while delivering high-quality credit assessments.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal teams, such as Relationship Managers, to ensure the smooth flow of information.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assist in evaluating their impact on credit risk policies and processes.
  • Perform detailed risk assessments, considering borrower financials, industry trends, collateral, and credit structure.
  • Assign appropriate risk ratings for borrowers and facilities, ensuring annual reviews are completed promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry practices, regulations, and international risk management standards.
  • Participate in relevant training programs and seminars to maintain a high level of competency.
  • Support operational risk activities, including incident reporting, KRI tracking, and control self-assessments.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive customer or internal information.
  • Uphold the organization’s reputation by adhering to the highest professional standards.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • At Least 4-6 years of experience in credit risk or a similar function in the banking sector.
  • Open to junior candidate
  • Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to interpret complex reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in financial risk modeling, credit methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of banking operations, products, and international accounting standards.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Open to contract role 3-6 months (highly convertible to permanent)
