We are seeking a General Manager, Business Development to lead our Asia Pacific team in market development. This role involves identifying and pursuing opportunities within the APA region and various customer verticals to support the profitable growth of our Contract Logistics Business. You will drive growth in alignment with strategic global and regional ambitions, aiming to build trust and confidence in our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations by leveraging subject matter experts and demonstrating the capabilities of our local operations across the region.

This role is based in Singapore, Bulim Ave.

Key responsibilities

Market Development:

  • Lead market research and development to expand product introduction in various industry verticals.
  • Analyze the pipeline to improve business conversion by product, aiming to achieve regional financial targets.
  • Lead the regional Go-to-Market initiative to secure the organization’s market share.
  • Partner with solution design engineers to foster continuous improvement.

Contract Logistics Commercialization:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain standards in marketing and sales aids, supporting the full sales cycle for each product within the portfolio.
  • Lead customer engagement programs to enhance their knowledge of supply chains, provide product insights, and promote the vision of an integrated supply chain and world-class logistics provider.
  • Ensure regular publication of insightful stories on internal and external media channels to boost enthusiasm among colleagues, industry partners, and potential clients.

Product Strategy Development:

  • Work closely with the Solution Design team, Country Business Development, and Sales teams.
  • Capture and share best practices in winning business through value-based product offerings to support short- and long-term success.
  • Develop and offer differentiated products by leveraging the expertise of the solution engineering team, thereby increasing trust among customers, sales, and delivery functions.

We’re looking for

  • At least 10 years of commercial experience in contract logistics with strong experience in communicating and building rapport at the senior / C-suite level
  • Experience and network in the lifestyle and/or FMCG industry is advantageous
  • Strong financial & commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Lead without formal authority
  • Proven track record of commercial success
