We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic and diverse team of 10 Products “Lights” Trading Operators in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance within the commodity trading sector.

Activities

  • In the frame of internal procedures, formalizing the Trading negotiations by the drafting and sending of commercial contracts, having controlled the coherence and the feasibility of the negotiated issues. It implies a good knowledge of legal, financial and operational terms governing this type of contract.
  • Evaluating / estimating all the costs derived from a transaction and communicating all operational data having a financial impact on Trading results (prices, hedges, freight, currency…).
  • Guaranteeing a satisfactory management of storage, blending and processing contracts (quantities/qualities/financial exposure).
  • Coordinating logistics of all loadings/unloadings by sea and/or overland and avoiding/minimizing the various hazards/mishaps
  • Liaising with M&S entities to secure and optimize the supply of our TOTAL affiliates throughout Asia, Far East-Pacific.
  • Following up the vessels chartered by the Company (spot, COA or T/C) and optimizing, in connection with Trading / Shipping, the rotations and loading plans.
  • Making sure that the vetting procedures for seagoing vessels and barges are respected in compliance with the HSE Group rule.
  • Nominating the service providers essential to the realization of the contracts (independent inspectors/agents…) and controlling the accuracy and consistency of the obtained results.
  • Obtaining financial guarantees from counterparts, controlling and/or amending them before cargo loading/unloading, in connection with the Credit department.
  • Identifying the cause for the encountered operational problems and activating the procedures necessary to their solution in coordination with all involved participants (immediate superior/Trading/legal/insurers/etc…), at minimal costs and consequences to the Company.
  • Liaising with Loss Control to handle Quantitative and qualitative issues.
  • Invoicing customers and paying our suppliers/service providers invoices
  • Securing, in coordination with Financial Department (Treasury, Credit, Financial Control, Accounting), the recovery of funds due (invoicing late payment interests...).
