Resident Engineer (RE) -Mechanical & Electrical

Responsibilities

• To supervise A&A and Restoration Works to Two (2) Conservation Buildings and One (1) Three-Storey Building at Istana which JTC as government Building & Infrastructure Centre of Excellence has undertaken to manage for a period of 36 months
• To check shop and construction drawings, samples, etc. submitted by contractors and their sub-contractors / suppliers / vendors and to report any discrepancies between these and the project drawings and specifications
• To monitor contractors’ schedules, day works, site progress, etc.
• To review contractor’s method statements and working procedures
• To keep and review records of works including materials, samples, site equipment, inspections, test reports and ensure proper documentation
• To attend all project meetings, site, progress and design/technical meetings as required, site demonstrations, witness testing and commissioning, and to keep proper minutes or notes of these meetings as directed;
  
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent or accreditation recognized by PEB Singapore
• Possess at least 8 years of relevant and practical experience on site
• Provide leadership to the M&E Resident Site Supervisor.
• Preferably with good knowledge and experience in A&A works of reasonable complexity
• Good supervisory and leadership skill
• To observe and comply with site safety, and submit all reports as directed and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner
