Position Overview:

The Group CFO will be responsible for all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and management as the company transitions into its next growth phase and prepares for an IPO. The CFO will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial future, ensuring capital efficiency, regulatory compliance, and investor relations, while steering the organization toward sustainable and profitable growth. This role requires deep expertise in financial leadership within a fast-paced fintech environment, as well as experience in guiding companies through the IPO process.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the financial operations of a fintech or technology-driven company, with a strong track record in capital markets, M&A, and scaling operations across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Lead the company’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes, ensuring transparency and accuracy in financial data.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, tax, treasury, and financial control, across all key markets (Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East).
  • Drive the company’s IPO readiness by developing and implementing strategies that enhance financial stability, investor confidence, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage capital structure and raise funds through equity, debt, or other financing mechanisms as required to support growth and expansion plans.
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to evaluate strategic opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and new market entries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication of the company’s financial performance and strategic vision.
  • Ensure robust financial risk management and compliance frameworks are in place to protect the company’s assets and reputation.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation of financial systems and processes that support scaling operations, enhance financial reporting, and improve decision-making capabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a CFO or senior finance leadership role within a fintech or technology-driven company.
  • Proven experience leading a company through the IPO process, including preparation, regulatory compliance, and investor relations.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations in fintech, particularly in areas such as online payments, digital wallets, or mobile financial services.
  • Experience managing financial operations across multiple regions, particularly in emerging markets like Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.
  • Proven track record in capital markets, fundraising, M&A, and managing complex financial transactions.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving financial performance and business results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience managing relationships with investors, board members, and regulators.
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
