As the Regional Head of Excellence for Direct & Indirect Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in elevating sourcing practices across SAPMENA region. You will champion standardization and efficiency, acting as a key liaison between global sourcing directives and their practical application within our diverse region in close alignment with Sourcing management team.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Standardization & Alignment:
    • Act as the expert for sourcing compliance, providing expert guidance, and resolving any discrepancies between Group guidelines and local realities.
    • Monitor compliance through KPIs that drive performance and results.
    • Partner with global excellence teams to tailor Group norms to the SAPMENA context, leveraging regional successes to enhance global standards.
  • Process Optimization & Innovation:
    • Drive the simplification and optimization of sourcing processes, systems, and tools across the region, working in close partnership with Sourcing management.
    • Identify and champion the adoption of new technologies, like Generative AI, to further streamline workflows, automate tasks, and empower sourcing teams.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve the training programs for sourcing-related systems and tools.
  • Sustainability & Compliance Leadership:
    • Embed sustainability and ethical sourcing practices as integral components of the SAPMENA sourcing landscape.
    • Collaborate with Sourcing teams to translate Group-level sustainability and compliance KPIs into tangible actions and guidelines for local implementation.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to local teams, empowering them to achieve and surpass ambitious sustainability and compliance targets.
  • Data Integrity & Transparency:
    • Implement mechanisms to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of sourcing data across all SAPMENA entities.
    • Develop and utilize insightful reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators, monitor progress towards targets, and identify areas for optimization.
  • Best Practice Sharing & Knowledge Management:
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the excellence community and represent SAPMENA in worldwide forums
  • Assess the sourcing team's knowledge and drive training initiatives to address the gaps
  • Launch engaging excellence campaigns that inspire and mobilize the organization to embrace and implement best-in-class sourcing practices.
  • Represent the Sourcing Excellence team in worldwide meetings, discussions and workshops.
Requirements

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferable); a focus on Finance is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in Sourcing, Internal Control, and/or project management related to tool implementation , process optimization or sustainability.
  • Experience in regional or global roles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying information and building strong relationships with both corporate stakeholders and country teams.
  • A strong track record of successful change management, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex organizational environments, build consensus, and gain cooperation from diverse stakeholders.
  • Endless curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and improvement within the ever-evolving field of sourcing.
