Scope of Work
- Support the execution of big data related cybersecurity projects
- Develop backend systems / tools to enable the team to carry out experiments / test hypothesis and perform data analytics work
- Discover information hidden in vast amounts of data, with a focus on cybersecurity use cases
- Independently carry out tasks involving data mining, engineering, statistical analysis, developing machine learning models and evaluating the outputs
- Conduct evaluation and exploration of open-source big data / Machine Learning technologies to identify new tools and frameworks that could improve efficiency and fine tune existing data analytics platforms
Learning Outcome
- Understand the intricacies and means of dealing with large data sets and efficient ways of analysing it
- Develop understanding of cybersecurity use cases and datasets
- Expand knowledge and application of innovative Data Analytics techniques (including tools and solutions that are emerging)
Skills Required
- Experience in quantitative data analytic or machine learning model development (experience in cybersecurity or network infrastructure is a plus)
- Good understanding of languages including Python, R, ETL frameworks, and able to develop scripts minimally in Python or R
- Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
- Fast learner with self-motivation and independence to acquire knowledge on new domains or technologies quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
